W/00 · Performance & Core Web Vitals Optimization

Core Web Vitals

Core Web Vitals optimization that moves real metrics.

Diagnose, fix and monitor LCP, INP and CLS at the page-template level — backed by Lighthouse, WebPageTest and real-user monitoring, not synthetic scores in isolation.

W/01 · Overview

What performance optimization actually covers.

Performance is not a homepage score. It is a per-template, per-device, per-geography distribution that shows up in rankings, conversion rate and bounce — measured against real users, not lab tests.

We diagnose the actual bottlenecks (render-blocking resources, oversized images, layout shift, hydration cost, third-party scripts), fix them with measurable budgets and set up monitoring so regressions get caught before they ship.

W/02 · Scope

What is included in a performance engagement.

Audit, fixes, infrastructure and ongoing monitoring.

  • Scope 01

    Full performance audit

Lighthouse, WebPageTest, CrUX and RUM data combined to identify per-template bottlenecks and prioritize by traffic and revenue impact.

  • Scope 02

    LCP, INP and CLS fixes

Image strategy, font loading, render-blocking resource removal, layout-shift fixes and interaction-cost reduction — measured and verified.

  • Scope 03

    JavaScript and bundle reduction

Code splitting, tree shaking, lazy loading, hydration strategy and third-party script audit to cut payload and execution time.

  • Scope 04

    Edge delivery and caching

CDN configuration (Vercel, Cloudflare, Fastly), edge functions, ISR strategy and cache headers for global low TTFB.

  • Scope 05

    Image and media pipeline

Modern formats (AVIF, WebP), responsive srcsets, priority hints and a build-time or on-demand optimization pipeline.

  • Scope 06

    Monitoring and CI gates

Real-user monitoring, Lighthouse CI per PR and budget alerts so regressions are caught in development, not production.

W/04 · Delivery

How we deliver performance work.

Measure, prioritize, fix, monitor.

01

Audit

Per-template Lighthouse, WebPageTest and CrUX/RUM analysis to identify real bottlenecks and impact.

02

Plan

Prioritized fix list scored by traffic, revenue impact and effort. Performance budget agreed.

03

Implement

Code, image, font, third-party and infrastructure fixes shipped per template with before/after measurement.

04

Monitor

Real-user monitoring, CI gates and alerting so future regressions are caught at PR time, not in production.

W/05 · Best Fit

Who performance optimization is for.

Sites where speed directly impacts rankings, revenue or retention.

  • Ecommerce

PDP and PLP performance work that lifts conversion and protects organic rankings.

  • Publishers & Media

High-traffic editorial sites where ad revenue, bounce and Core Web Vitals are tightly linked.

  • SaaS & Marketing Sites

Marketing surfaces where Core Web Vitals affect both SEO and demo-to-signup conversion.

W/06 · FAQ

Performance & Core Web Vitals Optimization — common questions.

Practical answers to the questions buyers ask before they engage on performance & core web vitals optimization.

FAQ 01

Why are our Lighthouse scores good but real users see slow pages?

Lighthouse is a synthetic lab test on a single device. Real users have different networks, devices, geographies and third-party script behavior. We measure against CrUX and your own real-user monitoring to see what actually ships in production.

FAQ 02

How much performance lift is realistic?

On sites that have not been optimized recently, LCP improvements of 30–60% and INP improvements of 40–70% are typical. Sites already well-optimized see smaller but still meaningful gains, especially on long-tail device and geography buckets.

FAQ 03

Do you work with our existing engineering team?

Yes. Most performance engagements are advisory plus hands-on — we diagnose, prototype fixes and pair with your team to roll them out across the codebase.

FAQ 04

Can performance work be a retainer?

Yes. Ongoing retainers cover monitoring, regression response, new-feature performance review and quarterly deeper audits as the site evolves.
